GitLab migration testing

SUMMARY

code.europa.eu GitLab solution is being migrated to another hosting solution. All existing Projects and Communities are going to be fully migrated, which means detailed testing will be required to ensure a clean transition once the current hosting solution is decommissioned. These tests include:

  • Testing access to new server from ButBucket to ensure EdiT can be compiled;
  • Ensure GitLab runners can be properly set;
  • Fortify connection and scanning plans;
  • Links on Wiki remain working;
  • ...

Important instructions:

·         Some configuration actions are required from your side.

·         We strongly recommend setting up separate runners dedicated specifically to these test repositories.

·         Do not connect production runners to these test repositories.

If you would like to add additional users to participate in testing activities, please reply to this email with your request. We will organize their access to both the test environment and the issue ticketing project.

You can proceed with your standard scenarios and operational tests. Additionally, we encourage you to explore extreme situations and non-standard scenarios to comprehensively test the new environment.

If you identify any defects, please report them via the project at code.europa.eu. To ensure consistency, select the "BUG" template in the templates section.

Ticket will be dispatched to appropriate SMEs.
