Relationship with Data Catalogues

Data catalogues have as objective to share access information about datasets (or data services) that are the result of some data management process. For the public sector many of the datasets are directly or indirectly the result of some processes being mandated by legislation. For Data catalogues the used vocabulary is DCAT-AP.

Data catalogues focus on the result (the created data) and not on the process why the dataset is being shared. RRMV in contrast is a vocabulary that allows to express the legal motivation why data is created. It is clear that both views meet eachother in the class ActionResult.

request If RRMV is used to express a concrete activity that leads to the creation of an identifiable dataset, then it should be possible to connect the rrmv:ActionResult with the dcat:Dataset that is documenting the data.
