VECTOR: Role of preservation services
In the VECTOR project, we discussed the role of preservation services, which can be used in cases when documents with signatures (such as VCs) need to be validated after a long time, e.g. a diploma 30 years after it has been issued.
Such a preservation service can be useful e.g. in connection with issue #31, if a VC needs to be renewed/reissued after some time, in order to be able to establish a chain of evidence.
Some standards for preservation services exists but may have to be improved in order to be usable with VCs, e.g. see these links and standards:

- ETSI TS 119 511/512

It would be valuable to explore how preservation services can be used in conjunction with EBSI-based use cases.
