Buyer country code used to obtain NUTS code

Rule Definition

In each procedure where the NUTS code is not provided or it is not valid, the country code of the buyer is used to infer the NUTS code.

Additional Information

Rule elaboration

In each procedure where the NUTS code is not provided or it is not valid, the country code of the buyer is used to obtain the country through the NAL “Countries and territories”.

Once the country has been identified, the corresponding NUTS code associated with that country is obtained through the NAL “Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics (NUTS)”.

When the NUTS code is not provided or it is not valid but can be inferred from the country code of the buyer according to this rule, both the original NUTS code value (if any) and the inferred NUTS code are stored.
