NUTS code obtained from country code of buyer

Rule Definition

In each procedure where the country code of the buyer is not provided or it is not valid, the NUTS code is used to infer the country code of the buyer.

Additional Information

Rule elaboration

In each procedure where the buyer’s country code is not provided or it is not valid, the NUTS code is used to obtain the corresponding country through the NAL “Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics (NUTS)”.

Once the country has been identified, the buyer’s country code associated with that country is obtained through the NAL “Countries and territories”.

When the buyer’s country code is not provided or it is not valid but can be inferred from the NUTS code according to this rule, both the original buyer country code value (if any) and the inferred buyer country code are stored.
